Important: This document is a customer-friendly summary of the Navimow manufacturer warranty for products sold in New Zealand. It does not replace the official manufacturer warranty supplied with the product. Your rights under New Zealand law may apply in addition to this warranty.
1. Warranty periods
The warranty period begins on the date of original purchase or product activation, whichever is later, provided the product was purchased from MowBot or another authorised Navimow dealer.
| Product group | Models | Mower | Battery | Power adaptor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Residential Navimow robotic mowers | i105, i108, i206 AWD, i210 AWD, H215, H230, X315, X330, X350, X390, X430 and X450 | 3 years | 2 years | 2 years |
| Terranox professional robotic mowers | CM120M1 and CM240M1 | 2 years | 1 year | 1 year |
Accessories: Warranty periods vary by accessory. Common examples include two years for garages, signal enhancement antennas, antenna extension equipment and applicable power adaptors; 90 days for cutting discs and the Terranox low-cutting kit; and 30 days for certain wear accessories. Please ask MowBot for the warranty applying to a specific accessory.
2. What the manufacturer warranty covers
- Defects in materials or workmanship arising under normal and ordinary use during the applicable warranty period.
- Repair or replacement of the defective product or component, at the discretion of Navimow and its authorised New Zealand distributor or service network.
- New or reconditioned replacement parts of the same or a comparable type may be used where appropriate.
3. What is not covered
- Blades and other consumable or normal wear-and-tear items.
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, collisions, fire, flooding, water ingress, chemicals, high-pressure washing or use outside the product's stated operating limits.
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, charging, storage, maintenance or operation that does not follow the user manual.
- Damage caused by stones, sticks, wire, toys, irrigation equipment or other objects left in the mowing area.
- Unauthorised modifications, repairs, software changes, or use of non-approved parts and accessories.
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect operation.
- Commercial use of a residential model where the product is not approved for that purpose.
4. Making a warranty claim
If you believe your Navimow has a fault, stop using it if continued operation may cause injury, further damage or property damage, then contact MowBot in the first instance. MowBot will assess the issue and manage the warranty process with Segway New Zealand where applicable.
Please have the following ready:
- Proof of purchase, such as your MowBot invoice or receipt.
- The mower model and serial number.
- A clear description of the issue, including when it occurs and any error messages.
- Photos, video or app screenshots where these help explain the fault.
MowBot or an authorised technician may need to inspect or test the mower before confirming whether the issue is covered. If the fault is covered, the approved remedy will be provided without charge under the manufacturer warranty. If the issue is not covered, MowBot will explain the available repair options and any applicable costs before work proceeds.
5. New Zealand consumer rights
For products purchased for personal or household use, this manufacturer warranty is additional to the rights and remedies available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Those rights are not limited to the warranty periods shown above, and a product may still need to be durable and last for a reasonable time after the manufacturer warranty expires.
Customers may return to MowBot as the retailer when seeking a remedy for a faulty consumer product. Depending on the nature and seriousness of the fault, the available remedy may include repair, replacement or refund as required by New Zealand law.
Business purchases: The Consumer Guarantees Act may not apply where goods are acquired for business use and the parties have lawfully agreed in writing to contract out. In that situation, rights may depend primarily on the written sale terms and the applicable manufacturer warranty.
6. Safety and care
Warranty cover depends on the mower being installed, operated, maintained and stored in accordance with the applicable user manual. Robotic mowers contain moving blades and are not toys. Children and animals must be supervised, and mowing should be scheduled when people and pets are not in the work area.
7. Contact MowBot
For warranty support, contact MowBot before arranging repairs, returning equipment or contacting an overseas service provider.
